VAA partnered in the design of a 200-acre crude oil transload facility, creating a fully integrated operation capable of supporting 24/7 crude oil storage, transfer, and transportation while allowing for future refinery expansion.
The project Hybrid/Remote Minneapolis, MN Hybrid / Remote required multidisciplinary expertise in oil and gas regulations, master planning, civil engineering, rail infrastructure, and industrial facility design. VAA developed a phased site plan that optimized logistics between truck receiving, rail loading, storage, and pumping operations while ensuring the facility could accommodate future processing capabilities.
The completed Structural Engineer (Hybrid) Minneapolis, MN Hybrid facility includes two 120,000-barrel crude oil storage tanks, truck receiving stations, rail loading infrastructure, a Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) system, pumping stations, and multiple operational support buildings. The phased design provides a scalable foundation for future refinery development while supporting efficient, continuous operations.
VAA led the expansion of Summit Brewing’s headquarters, helping the brewery increase production capacity and successfully introduce canning operations to meet growing consumer demand.
Using advanced 3D modeling, VAA enabled stakeholders to visualize building components, validate Electrical Designer (Hybrid/Remote) Minneapolis, MN Hybrid layouts, and confirm design deliverables before construction began, reducing project risk and improving coordination throughout the design process.
The expansion was completed in three carefully planned phases. The first phase increased cellar capacity with additional fermentation tanks. The second phase Structural Designer (Hybrid/Remote) Minneapolis, MN Hybrid installed new process pipelines and structural supports to connect the brewing operation with a dedicated canning area. The final phase remodeled an adjacent building to house canning production, modern office space, and a hospitality suite, creating a cohesive facility designed for both operational efficiency and visitor engagement.
Through its multidisciplinary engineering and phased construction approach, VAA delivered a seamless expansion that enhanced production capabilities while supporting the brewery’s long-term growth strategy.
